Pirates
of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest Review
In Pirates of the Caribbean,
Dead Man's Chest all seafarers and landlubbers alike will find a
high degree of excellent entertainment not known of many sequels.
But, avast me heartys, the following information is not for the
weak of heart or weak of mind.
Plot details about the
Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest will be revealed to those
who read on, so do so only at your own peril. For those who have
not seen Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest a certain amount
of spoilage may occur when reading on but I'll try to keep it to
a minimum.
In Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest, once again Captain
Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann return to romp upon
the high seas and deliver masterful performances in this action-filled
plot.
The movie starts out as Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner are interrupted
during their wedding ceremony as Lord Cutler Beckett threatens to
execute the two for helping Captain Jack Sparrow escape. Will cuts
a deal to search for Jack and his compass in return for their lives.
In the first movie, Pirates
of the Caribbean, Curse of the Black Pearl, the focal point
was a magical pirate medallion worn by Elizabeth. In Pirates of the
Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest, however, it is the magical compass that
leads the cast, particularly Captain Jack into all sorts of adventures.
Jack finds out from the voodoo princess that the compass leads the
person holding it to what they truly want in life.
The Dead Man's Chest that the cast is seeking is filled with, well,
I'm not going to spoil the plot on this one so you'll just have
to see the movie. But, it is filled, suffice it to say, "something
important".
Some of the funniest scenes of this film is when Captain Jack Sparrow
is discovered on an island filled with cannibals. In fact, at first
glance, he appears to be their leader. But, while he is most revered
by the savages, he is not in charge and this leads to an entertaining
subplot that will once again resurrect itself at the very end of
the movie.
Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest is an entertaining sequel
and a precursor to the next movie due out, Pirates of the Caribbean,
At World's End, which is slated to appear in late May 2007. At World's
End is in production and will star the normal cast plus Rolling
Stones legend Keith Richards who plays Captain Jack Sparrow's father.
If you haven't seen Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest
then go see it immediately. Do not stroll, do not walk, but sprint
like the scurvy dog that you are to get the DVD, Pirates of the
Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest and take a two hour adventure that is
sure to enthrall, entertain and give you license to be a buccaneer
on the high seas for a short while.
